Design system creation, management, and governance
Overview
The EY Design Studio is an end-to-end, human-centred design and development agency as part of Ernst & Young LLP. As an Associate Designer (UX and UI) during the summer of 2022, I co-created a design system for a major government client and engaged in various internal studio projects.
Goal: Develop a design system based on client needs and specifications, through weekly sprints (Agile).
Role: Associate Designer (UX and UI)
Tools: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), HTML/CSS, Figma, zeroheight
Outcome:
- Catalogued, documented, defined, and connected client's extensive design and development resources.
- Established a comprehensive governance model to streamline the design-to-development workflow.
- Developed a robust, interactive design system that incorporates best-in-class practices, enabling teams to design quickly, consistently, and at scale.
